I wear a lot of hats.

Journalist. Graphic designer. Student. Teacher. Freelancer. Researcher. Design junkie. Marketer. Writer.

I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2005 with a bachelor’s in integrated marketing communication (a fancy name for the journalism department’s advertising and public relations degree) and a minor in graphic design. For the next three years, I honed my marketing and design skills while working as the marketing coordinator for Milsoft Utility Solutions.

Three years at an eight-to-five desk job sent me scampering back to graduate school. I received my master's degree in strategic communication from the University of Kansas, and I am currently working on my Ph.D.in Mass Communication and Advertising at the University of Florida.

Despite my love affair with advertising and public relations, my true interest lies in visual communication – how design influences behavior and how we find meaning in what we see. My specific research focuses on branding – university branding, newspaper branding, branding personalities, etc.

Most importantly, my years of combined journalism and design experience have taught me to create quality products while working alongside my clients. While I’m committed to producing visually stunning work, I’m also committed to listening to what’s important to you.

Design is ultimately about problem solving. Work that looks nice but doesn’t do the job won’t fly. Neither will boring or ugly solutions. Whether you need an identity package, website, packaging, advertising, promotional copy or just about anything else you can dream up, I’m committed to finding the right blend of spit and polish.

So, drop me a line and let’s talk about your personal or business communication needs.
